Merry Christmas from the creek. It probably won’t be white for Christmas day, but there’s been more than enough snow for me already. I’ve worn boots since December 6th, but it finally got up into the 50s today, so I put my sandals back on for a little while anyway.
Lucky and Chili like the white stuff. They’re a little hesitant at first, but once they’ve taken the plunge, they like a good romp in the snow. Of course Lucky becomes almost invisible.
I recorded some Christmas poems, stories, and jokes for my kids and grandkids this year. Twelve grandkids makes it hard to even remember their names. There’s no chance I’ll remember how old they are. But I do know the oldest is 16 and the youngest was born this October on the same day as the 16-year-old was born, back in 1997. Life does present coincidences from time to time.
Anyway, the recordings are under the Christmas tree. I decorated a winter sycamore this year. Nature sure knows how to create beauty.
